RBD is a group that emerged from the soap opera "Rebelde", integrated by its protagonists: Anahi, Dulce, Maite, Alfonso, Christián and Christopher; that soon went beyond the soap opera fiction to write, in the pop music world, a reality that surpassed fiction.

RBD arose out of the TV show Rebelde, which featured the sextet as the lead characters. Debuting on Televisa in October 2004, the show followed six students at an elite boarding school in Mexico City who rebelled against their aristocratic classmates by starting a band. Under the guidance of producer Pedro Damián (who previously guided Timbiriche to stardom), the six actors formed RBD as an extension of the show. Like the group itself, Rebelde turned into a television sensation that drew 23 percent of all Mexican households. It became so popular that artists ranging from Lenny Kravitz to Hilary Duff appeared on Rebelde to help promote their own music in the Latin market. The Gorillaz even chose to debut their "Dare" video on Rebelde rather than on MTV Mexico. By the time it wrapped last summer, Rebelde was the country's longest-running telenovela with 440 episodes, which continue to air in the U.S., Asia, Indonesia, and in over a dozen other countries. A feature film and a new spin-off show with the RBD stars are currently in development.

The last of CCEA that I saw online is just a little further of what is happening in the US right now because it was quite a few months ago, but I haven't seen anything recently. That happens with me and novelas. I lose interest really fast, and I just stop watching. Rebelde was the only exception. I've already stopped watching Verano de Amor. I only watched the first week. I'll just watch Miranda clips from now on unless I get curious again.

Yeah, the last thing I saw was Marichuy was blind and JM might have operated on her, and he's acting like a different person or something. It's really gotten weird.

I lose interest in novelas too. Well, I actually lose interest in a lot of things.

So, I believe that Anahi confirmed the new novela. Is that what this is saying? Her quote is what confuses me.

Finalmente, Anah�* reveló no tener problemas con el diseñador Gustavo Matta, quien en su momento anunció haber confeccionado el vestido de novia de la "rebelde" artista.

"Con él no me enoje, él me dijo que las cosas se editan... a lo mejor la regué en decir que yo me imaginaba un vestido as�* y lo tomaron a mal, pero no hay bronca", concluyó la cantante.

The same thing happened to me. I'm tired of these plots. I watched the first episode of Verano de Amor and I didn't like it. It's just a version of Rebelde but on a beach. Miranda is too much like Roberta. The whole throwing water on the guy was exactly like Roberta throwing Red Bull (I guess) on Mia. I think Damian just wants to make people who watched Rebelde watch this new novela. Dunno.

As far as I understood Anahi said she doesn't know if she wants to play the character or not, that she doesn't know anything but the character, if it's a good or bad girl, just that the character is harder to play than the ones she already played. I think it's kinda weird that she said that. I mean, if she doesn't know anything about the character, how come she knows it will be harder to play? :shrug:

haha i actually know a little more about whats going on in CCEA in mexico and i haven't even watched it. my sis has been watching it online and so far what i know is that juan miguel wanted to operate on her so she can see again and he was going to do it even though its like really dangerous but he got the consent from her and her parents but then like one doctor convinced her parents to not have her go one with the surgery cuz she can die. i honestly don't know exactly how she can die though if its an operation on her eyes but whatever. lol anyway so while juan miguel was about to operate her parents tell him to stop. so yeah. i don't know whats happening now but i do know that happened and that he is disguising himself as some other doctor. i forgot the name but i know that i find that name to be really funny for some reason. lol

and i guess anahi and william are confirmed then. it will be very interesting to watch.

Hmm that sucks about Verano. I have yet to see any of it but it looks cool. I know Dul can pull off any character but I'd like to see a different style. We've had Marcella and Roberta but we can't keep having Roberta.

Maybe Any thinks her character will be hard to play because of the fact she doesn't know much? :lol: Or how to take on the role? I personally don't think it was hard to play Mia..maybe Jessica..who knows where this character falls..??

Vero, I know that Marichuy had a brain tumor, which are inoperable, but not for Juan Miguel. :lol:

I really like Verano, but I agree the things that Miranda did in the first episode were really out of character for her, like dumping the water on Mauro and taking her shirt off. :shrug: I think it was just to get people to watch the rest of the novela.

Verano just didn't do much for me. Nothing really held me. The acting in it can use some work too. I only decided to watch it for Dul, I've been over my novela phase for a while, so it makes sense that now I'd only watch her character's clips online because they seriously do not show her enough for me to watch the whole thing. :nono:

Haha was I the only one who kept watching the OC after Marissa died? I think the last season was actually one of the best. We got to see the characters change and mature for the better and worst. Sadly this had to happen if Marissa died but whatever :lol: life goes on I guess. I know people wanted Ryan and Marissa to end up together, that was a big issue. I wish they had sometimes but I'm glad Ryan moved on too I didn't want him to be lonely forever. Plus Marissa dying was cuz of the actress wanting to leave the show right?

Bella, I don't think that Rebelde is on anywhere in America right now. I wish it was. I guess it's playing in Spain again. I'm hoping that it will be on here on Univision at the late night slot. Right now they're playing a pretty recent novela and that gives me hope.

That's cool! I've taken a couple of international relations courses. It's definitely the area I'm most interested in terms of politics. Diplomacy sounds cool. Where would you want to go in terms of being a diplomat?

Christian won and award for his acting/singing in Ave Q. He also might be in Mujeres Asesinas, which Maite may be in also.

Christian Chávez ha obtenido un posicionamiento en el medio del espectáculo mexicano, pues en el 2002 integró el elenco de la exitosa telenovela juvenil Clase 406, en la que interpretaba a "Fercho". Christian actuó a lado de actores como Dulce Mar�*a, Anah�*, Aarón D�*az, Sara Maldonado, Sherlyny Alfonso Herrera.

Leslie, have you tired to open your computer in safe mode, and then restoring it back to a different date? My sister's computer got a virus and that's what we did to fix it and now it's just fine. I don't know if that's what's wrong with your's but it's worth a try.

I would love to see Mai and Chris in a novela together, and in Mujeres Asesinas, she's probably going to play a murder since that's what the show is about. I hope they're both in it.

I totally teared up during 'Adios'. :( The guys were definitely greatly missed especially Christian. I'm used to Poncho and Ucker rarely singing, but Christian usually sings so much and now he didn't. It's pretty depressing. I still enjoyed the album overall. It was more upbeat and electronic-y than I would have liked, but I had already expected that since Mai said it would be that way. I really enjoyed 'Quien Te Crees' and 'Puedes Ver Pero No Tocar'. They were both catchy and fun and made me want to bounce around. :look: :D

I've only watched 2 episodes of my LF DVDs (1 from the 1st disc and 1 from the 3rd), and both were fine. :nod:

Yeah, I know. I liked most of them after hearing them for a second time. I was actually pleasantly surprised with the CD. I really didn't get my hopes about it.

I love love Puedes ver pero no tocar. It's impossible not to dance while listening to it <3 Desapareció has a rock-ish beat :yay: I'd love it if Anahi used songs like this one + balads on her solo CD.

Something very :woot: worthy is the fact that The Excluded Ones aka Maite and Christopher got a duet :yay: But as life isn't perfect it's one of the songs I like less, 'cause the lyrics are kinda blah.

Even though I love the CD it disappoints me that the boys had just a few lines. I especially love Poncho's voice on this CD. And it's really strange that Pollito didn't get to sing as much as he usually does. They should have included Pedazos in the CD, at least. The good part though is that the group songs actually are group songs. All the 6 get to sing \o/

I agree that Anahi's voice sounds amazing <3 It's really cool that Maite got more lines than usual :love:

The same thing happened to me except it only took my 2nd listen to fall in love with it. My first time, I only liked around 4 or 5 songs, but now I love most of them. :D

I really have no idea which songs Dul wrote. Quite a few seemed Dul-like. On the Univision boards, they said she wrote Mas Tuya Que Mia because it was in Dulce Amargo, but I'm not sure if that's true. :shrug:

I think Dul sang in Mirame too, but only in the chorus. I think I hear her in it. I really don't like that song much aside from the beginning. It's too repetitive and just there. It didn't really do much for me. I don't think Mai can be known as one of "The Excluded Ones" anymore considering she sang more than Christian on this album. The guys are now "The Excluded Ones". I still wish they all sang equally or at least somewhat close to equally. I guess there's no need to worry about that anymore though. :shrug:

Overall like everyone else said more guys would have been great, but it sorta seemed like they were trying to tell us what we have to look forward to when Dulce and Annie go solo. It seemed like they maybe wanted us to forget about all the other members, so you would when they go solo. :shrug: It seems like something the management would do.

:love: I loved that they got a duet, well it wasn't a full duet because Dulce dominated in the chorus, but I'll take it. They've been the most unappreciated of the whole group and they got a song semi to themselves.

I love that picture. And I love the idea of the movie. I'm not so up on my Mexican history, so I didn't even know that there was an earthquake in Mexico. So, it'd be really interesting for me to watch.

Maite was on Muevete this morning, and she celebrated her birthday recently, and I guess everybody from RBD was there. That just made me happy to hear that. I can't even remember a time when everyone was able or just wanted to go to one of their birthday parties.

So two of them are going to present as a duet or they are going to make a duet song? I kinda got confused there. I'd love love love it if Any and Dulce performed together, it'd be truly amazing. But I agree it's the kind of thing I see Anah�* and Pollito doing. Though Dulce keep on saying we're gonna have a surprise this summer so it could be it. But then sometimes they've said they had a surprise for us and it was something really obvious. So maybe it's just her solo CD :shrug:

I loved Christopher's concept for his CD. It's really interesting. Plus I love that he will write all of the songs \o/ And I'm pleased he has so many different plans for his career, he has the potential to be a versatile artist :nod:

I really like the beat in PVPNT... it makes me want to dance. :lol: There were moments that Dul's voice was too high-pitched and it was bothering me [not in this song]. Maybe it was just me, though. :shrug: As for the boys, I really was pleased with their parts. :nod: I like Maite's voice in Quien Te Crees, especially when she sings No te escucho pero si quieres sigue hablando y sigue andando.... I don't know, I just like the way she sings that part.

The chorus in Esté Donde Esté always makes me think of YNPO. I can't help it.

Yeah, I've seen a few concert videos where it's just the four of them. Even though it's not the same, it's was still fun to watch. As for right now, I can't tell who would be able make it there. I'm pretty sure that he'd only be in it for a few episodes. Their video... I wanted, or expected, for a new video since it was going to be their last. But at the same time, I get the concept they tried to show using old video clips. It made me all sentimental watching their old videos, and moments together... and gah! How they used their Brazil concert clips. :sigh: The ending of the video made me had goosebumps, honestly.

The CD cover is pretty crappy. But what bothers me about it is that they're not looking at the same place. They could've decided to look at the camera, or at their hands. But no, it's all messed up. They're considering putting a different novela in it's time slot and changing VDA with it because the other one is doing much better. I think most people are pissed that they made it seem like Dul was going to be in it way more than she actually is so there's no point in watching. That was the reason I stopped watching because the fact is I truly only watched for her. It really does suck for Dul though because since she's like the well-known one, I feel like they're going to put the blame on her. When really, I think they should blame Pedro like I do. I blame him for everything. :shrug:

Yup, that's why she wasn't in it as much in the beginning. She was still on tour with the group. They started filming sometime in November and the tour wasn't over til December. I'm not sure who they wanted Ucker to play. Most the cast wasn't revealed when everyone was reporting it so I just know it was one of the protagonists but there's so many, I have no idea. It could have been Mauro since he was the last to be casted. :shrug:

Ugh, because he's Pedro. He thinks just because he created something as huge as RBD, he can be as successful in everything else and it just doesn't work that way. :nono:

I read about RBD performing @ los 40 Principales too. Who knows if it's true though. We'll just have to wait and see. :nod:

No. I actually like Britney. She has done a lot of stupid stuff and she doesn't actually sing, always dubbing and all, but I like a good amount of her songs, but I don't think Christopher should get involved with her. At least not now that his solo career is starting. People would constantly relate him to her and that can't be positive. I think he should or try colaborations with more serious artists (JT like you mentioned would be interesting) or wait 'til his career gets solid to work with Britney.

Hmmm... I disagree there. Because a lot of new artists that are coming out on their own actually get more recognition when they do a collab with a well known artist. I think if those 2 did a song together ,it would be an upbeat, dance kind of song anyways and I'm sure Ucker's sound will have a lot of that in it because as we all know, he loves to dance and stuff so.. It never came out here. It's on Amazon, but labeled as an import. I'm sure it was in stores in states closer to Mexico, but it never came here. So, I just downloaded it and had to burn it onto a DVD myself.

They all sound really good. i didn't know it was a day concert. its soo wierd cuz i'm so used to the darkness with lights and stuff. lol and yeah the grinch really did ruin salvame for me. i mean, why does he have to be standing right there? ugh

OT: so i visited San Diego State and i really like the campus. plus i got to see the some of the filming locations of Veronica Mars cuz they used that college as Hearst College. so it was pretty cool. they have alot of neat stuff that sounds like alot of fun so i hope i get to go. but see thats the thing i want to go but then if i do i'll be living there and i won't have the option of coming home if i don't like it. ya know? so its like i want to leave but i don't want to leave. the best part is that it only takes like 2 hours sometimes less from my house to over there.
