Yeah, I didn't like how he followed her almost to and how in Tristan was hoping he wasn't sleeping with Rory for revenge. Some part of me likes Tristan not "in love" with Rory but at the same time I want my TR together

Most of the time I'd like to lock Tristan in a room and do other things to him, but in that last chapter, he was just so uncool. Would it be a total spoiler if I say that the next chapter has a total angst thing going on? Eventually everything will be happy because how can you not have a happy ending with those two (as we ignore the actual show, lol)?

I like how you've made Rory like Tristan and knows what she wants and Tristan just can't give up his old life. Its a change from the usual Tristan is in love with Rory and Rory takes her sweet time realising she likes Tristan too

What is your favorite type of Trory fics to read? Pure Romance? Angst? Comedy? Mystery?

Me too

I loooooove pure romance and fluff :love: Especially one shots. I'm not into angsty fics, expecially where they are fighting/broken up for the whole story but back together in the last chapter. Most of the time I get sad and start thinking about what will happen next.

I like comedy too. But then I don't really see Tristan and Rory as the comedy type. To me they are romantic and passionate..be it arguing or kissing ;)

Mystery is ok. But I guess for me the whole fic has to talk about the Trory relationship and not another main storylline with them on the side.

So yeah I think romance and a bit of angst is the best Trory fic for me

I like pure romance too with a hint of angst. I love fics that keep you wanting more and wishing you lived the life of Rory and Tristan. However I do hate fics that show Tristan as a puppy dog and following Rory around. I love Tristan as a sort of bad boy, which usually results in angst. I'm happy with angst as long as we get a happy ending.

I don't see Tristan and Rory as a comedy couple either but it would be great to read a good comedy fic, with romance in it. :)

The only comedy fic I like or can remember as a comedy fic is 'Couple's Therapy'. I thought that was just brilliant.

:bawl::bawl: I am not going to read that fic anymore. Not until it is completed. And even then Ali you have to tell me if we got a Trory ending or not. I don't want another MMATB. Seriously I can't handle angsty fics, especially when we don't get a happy ending.

I would have to say Whatever Tomorrow Brings by Jamie (Mrs. Witter). With the exception of Tristan coming back from military school than California, its a perfect example how season 3 could have turned out. I love how she shows Tristan as a 'bad boy' but with a nice side to him. I'm also happy that Tristan's parents dont hate Rory . Plus it doesn't rush into anything, which a lot of fics do. Its perfect, IMO

It seems pointless that they would break up especially after everything they have been through. They have made so much progress and its true they do love each other. So much. Everytime I see the update I get a bad feeling :lol:

I liked Mary or Mary'ed too :D I know I wish we had seen how they got together too, even couple of scenes in flashback would have been great, because not everyone watched S6 and S7 of GG. I didn't so its hard fo me to picture how they would have gotten together :( But I love that they are making their relationship work even with the distance :sigh:

I have to agree with you on WTB :nod: That fic is just amazing! And yes! Tristan's dad doesn't hate Rory is great, because it becomes a cliche after a while in fics with the whole 'I'm rich, you're not, my parents don't want me to date you.'

Another fic would be Slipping Under the Surface by abc79de. Tristan isn't a sap or a pushover but he is so dedicated to Rory and making their relationship work :sigh:. I loved when Tristan said to Janlen that his going to Yale wouldn't stop him from being in a relationship with Rory. Or when he stood up to Lorelai after they had sex and after Rory fought with him after their trip back from Yale.

And Rory's character is so spot on too. Her reactions to Max/Lorelai, Lorelai's dislike of Tristan and eventually her breaking up with Tristan is everything I could imagine S2 Rory being like. Her quote that she could imagine trying on her wedding dress every night was so sad yet beautiful :sigh:

I'm looking for a Summer Exchange fic, although I don't think anyone has it :( The first one was called 'Untitled' and it in Tristan has a dream he and Rory get caught by Lorelai/Head Master Charleston/Paris having sex and then wakes up to Rory sleeping next to him. And the next day he tells her about the dream.

The second fic is called 'Backstage Suprises'. Tristan and Rory are married and Tristan has to give a speech and he's nervous but is able to convince Rory into something ;) and Emily stumbles upon them :lol:

The third fic is set during the Chilton reunion and Tristan and Rory are married and he gets them into first a janitors closet then into headmaster's office.

The fourth fic was called 'Vindicated'. Tristan and Rory had a fight because she was being rude and a pain and so she makes it up to him in the shower.

SUDS is a great one too. I remember how I hated when they broke up and when Amy didn't update after a while. I was getting really impatient. But I agree, Tristan wasn't a sap and it was very refreshing. Plus he loved her so much and he knew what was best for her,when she didn't.

Great question! I thought I wouldn't be able to answer that because its angst but I have to say 'What Lies Within Us' by Kittycob. How even though Tristan loved her he thought he wasn't good enough for her. And Rory not giving up on him, even when she's in hospital and begging him. I really loved the end scene with her begging him to give them a chance. Plus I loved how easily Rory cheated on Logan with Tristan without Tristan having to do anything :evil_lol:

I would either have to say The Best of You by MzFreak and Popular by Kellie. In both of those fics Rory and Tristan sleep together and Rory realize its a "mistake". Tristan doesn't act like a sap and he's actually mad, like any normal guy would be. But in the end, its all okay. :)

I loved the end where Rory is in the piano room playing 'Anytime.' I really liked that Rory went after him after she had rejected him so many times. And how she didn't have to say anything but let her actions speak for her.

She smiled at him and his resolve faded away; he pulled her closer as they lost themselves in feelings that they had restrained for so long.

Amazing fic and it just keeps getting better. I love everything about that fic. I'm just going to read over it again and post again.

I loved Tristan's character. He wasn't sappy but he knew he wanted Rory and went after her. He is just how I imagined Tristan to be on the show if we were shown more of his character.

“You were going to stay away from me,” she reminded him and ignored his question.
“What can I say?” he said, his hands wide in a gesture of surrender. “You’re irresistible to me, Mary. Besides, I have a mission statement. I know what I want and I’m going for it. Tristan DuGrey always gets what he wants.”
She rolled her eyes at his arrogance. “What do you want?”
“You.” The intense look in his eyes belied the simplicity of his answer as he gazed down the length of her form, making it clear what he meant.

He groaned into her mouth when she arched slightly against him. Curious that such a movement could make his kisses hotter, she pressed up against him again, this time harder and with more purpose. When he dragged his lips away from hers and moaned, she smiled. “Rory, do you have any idea what you’re doing?”

“Some,” she admitted and kissed his jaw. “I just like kissing you.”

He laughed and leaned in again. “Then who am I to deny you?”

I loved that he told her he loved her as well. Plus it wasn't over the top like "I love you so much". It was simple and to the point and he understood that he should tell her he loved her before they had sex.

I really liked Tristan's interaction with his friend Joe. I wish he was in more chapters. Its great to read a fic where Tristan has a true friend. I loved the part where they went to the bar and hung out. They were just being boys :lol:

I also liked Tristan's interaction with Jess. They had mutual respect and understanding for each other.

I wasn't that interested in Joe, although his interaction with Tristan was amusing because they were such boys :lol: I usually don't like new characters because I can't imagine them as I can those that were on the show.

I loved Tristan and Jess too. Their friendship was just as I imagined it would be. Very teenage boyish and not over the top 'we're best mates'

I liked Rory and Paris' friendship. The end where Paris talks to her about having sex with Jess just showed how they have matured and how their 'friendship' has developed.

I love love love that fic because its different than any other fic i've ever read. It shows the real in depth emotions of coming back from war and the struggle Rory goes though to get Tristan to open up. Its just beautifully writtten and a masterpiece.

:lol: I haven't written anything either. I'm too critical of my work so I never get past the first sentence. Sarah made me write something with her over the net. That was fun, but we never finished it.

I love that fic too. Its the best 'Tristan coming back from war' stories ever written. And I agree the emotions expressed was just amazing. I remember crying when Tristan thought back to what he experienced. It seemed so real. You could tell the author did research and knew what she was talking about. And I think thats such an important thing when writing a fic.

I loved that Rory fell in love with Tristan without him having to do anything like chase her and it was because of 'him'. And I loved loved the fact that she fought for him and didn't give up. The ending where she begs him saying she was the weaker one and she needed him :love:

I think TMTC is one of the best fics ever written, I'd even go as far as saying it is the best Trory fic. :lol: Sarah said she had emailed her asking if she would update it and she said she wouldn't be updating it. I don't think she wrote the smut scene :(

I love how Amy portrayed Rory and Tristan's emotions. She wrote 2 deep and raw fanfic's that showed what each character was feeling. I loved it. It was so much more than a fanfic, it was a story that could happen in real life. She showed how neither is perfect but together they are complete.

I loved the emotions portrayed too. I really felt like I understood the characters and what made them make the decisions that they did. That fic went so indepth and I absolutely loved it.

I also loved how much Tristan and Rory meant to each other. There were so many :thud: worthy scenes and dialogues. But I especially loved how Tristan was so dedicated to her :sigh:

It would have to be Take My Breath Away. I loved the characterisation of Tristan. And I liked what the story was based on. Tristan is usually spontaneous but the fact that he planned something in order to ask her to move in with him showed that it wasn't a 'spontaneous' decision, he really wanted it.

I also loved that even though Rory was pissed with him she wanted to make up with him and the plan she had in order to make up with him was just brilliant.

He had this look he would give her across the table at a fancy restaurant, which would inevitably land them in bed before their waiter would come back around to take their order.

“Move in here.”
“Tristan,” she blinked, feeling almost as if someone had stolen the air out of her lungs. “What?”
“This is stupid, this living three blocks apart thing. I’ve always thought so, but you were so insistent that we not rush into anything,” he allowed for what might have been common sense at the time. “But I was ready the second I saw you in that line, finishing off one cup of coffee while ordering another.”

I can never remember the name of my favorite one but its the one by the author of TMTC. Rory's car broke down and she called Tristan to help. I loved Tristan's character in it. Sexy and arrogant. Plus she showed that Rory isn't perfect. It was amazing.

Roadside service is amazing :nod: I love the characterisation of Tristan. He had tried to make it right with Rory, even though he didn't do anything wrong but when she didn't budge, he 'moved on' or at least tried to. I'm glad he didn't pine after her. And even though he was angry with her he still cared about her.

. “Rory when I make love to you it’s going to be in a bed, with you completely naked, covered in sweat and moaning my name. Not in my truck. Not for your first time at least,” He added with a smirk and another quick kiss, “Besides, I want to be on top.” :thud:

I pretty much liked all of the summer exchange fics. But off the top of my head, two stand out besides Roadside servive- Spin cycle and Breaking the Rules. I just loved the relationship between Tristan and Rory in spin cycle, the banter and the attraction was just so cute. I could really imagine that happening on the show if Tristan had gone to Yale.

I liked Breaking the rules because it was set in Chilton and it was a refreshing change from all the post S4 finale fics. Tristan and Rory's interactions were so cute and I loved that they kept meeting up after everyone went to sleep.

No it doesn't :sigh: Sarah saw the ones where he's asking Rory to the concert and the last pic she said it looked like they were having eye sex :lmao:

Aaaah that is too hard to answer :lol: I love them all. But since we've spoken about quite a few of them already, I choose Juliet is Awakening. When I first read it, it was a bit slow for me. But after a while it seemed so much like I was reading the script for the show. I loved the bit when Tristan sneaks into her room and she falls asleep but he just holds her. And I loved the end where she tells him "I don’t want you to be my stand-in boyfriend. I just want you to be my boyfriend" :love:

I am kinda a "old Trory". I use to post on the GG board when Jamie,Roxy, and Eladia were there. But I was new and barely use to post . I've been with Trory since 2005, 4 long but happy years :)

I actually started reading Trories by accident. I was a huge RJ shipper and i would only read RJ fics on FF. Then i saw a lot of Trory fics and I was like "Why not read one just for the heck of it" :lol:
I fell in love immediately.But I wouldn't read all the fics. First, I would only read fics without Jess in it bc I was still a RJ shipper. Plus i would only read Chilton fics. But now I read all good ones :lol:

I started shipping Trory after I saw The Lorelais' First Day in 2001 (It aired in Australia in 2001). I was hooked from day one :D Even though I read the posts on FF I didn't post here until 2006, when Camilla suggested it.

I started reading the fics at the same time but I can't remember the name, because I have read sooooo many Trory fics. Even the really bad ones :lol: I don't think there is a fic I haven't read on FF.

I was just reading that fic! I really like it too. But I love Slipping Under The Surface. The relationship between Tristan and Rory just stands out to me in that fic.

Another one I think needs a mention is 4am. I loved that even after almost 9 years they still loved each other. The flashbacks, how their relatonship was in Chilton was great as well.

Isn't that weird, you liked RJ, but not anymore. Is there a reason? I know what you mean about real life. Work is so crazy, so I still make time, or rather I only have time for Trory fics and FF.

Emily's hate for Tristan was believable, thats why I liked the fic so much as well. I liked that they didn't break up over Tristan cheating, or Rory thinking Tristan cheated :rolleyes:

I like those endings too :nod: I love the Pride and Prejudice ending. They didn't plan to have sex, but I loved that it just happened, even though they were ready for a while.

I really liked the epilogue to 'To Mourn A Mischief That Is Past', how in that one scene we see that Tristan and Rory have moved in together and they have been together for a while. And the proposal was so cute. Before I read it I was expecting a 'suprise' and not a good one at that :lol:

I loved the ending to When Snow Falls by April as well. How Tristan says he wasn't really into Summer but to him Spring was irresistable :thud: And when Rory kisses him when she thinks he's sleeping. Now I want to read it again!

Off the top of my head Lost and Found and Can't Stay Away. I've always liked the storyline where Tristan and Rory knew each other when they were younger and dated. I loved that they stayed together for so long and I also love the other characters. Usually I don't like when Logan and the gang are in it with no storyline, just there for the sake of being there.

What can I say about CSA that hasn't already been said? :lol: I love the bad boy good girl dynamic. And I love how they are so attracted to each other. And Finn is classic in it :D

I loved how LC took a bad situation( Rory sleeping with Dean) and wrote an amazing story around it. Everytime i watch the end of Season 4 i always imagine Rory meeting Tristan in London. To bad it didn't happen.

My favorite scene would be when Rory and Tristan first meet and they are outside and talking. I loved the part when she asked him to kiss her so she could get rid of Dean's taste in her mouth.

Of all the alternate endings to S4, LC would have to be the best one I have read. I really liked how it showed Rory's regret over the situation and how she tried to get over it. Even though I'd rather not read about RD, it was realistic in that it showed Rory's feelings about what happened and how she realised it was a mistake and needed to move on. I remember thinking the same thing, that if only she had met Tristan on Europe :sigh:

I really really liked it. The Trory scenes are :thud: And you can tell they are starting to care for one another..well more than they already do. I thought it was funny how Tristan's first thought was that she was pregnant and how Ana told him to get the "awed" look off of his face :lol:

And while I'm glad that things are starting to move forward, I'm not looking forward to the angst either. Only because we will have to wait between chapters and I hate waiting for updates especially when the fic is angsty at that time.
