Low Post Counts - Please Read

The Fan Fiction / Writing Board is in dire need of help. As you probably know, :ff: has established a rule about active boards: an active board is one that gets at least 15 posts per day. Unfortunately, Fan Fiction / Writing has not met this minimum last month:

Fan Fiction/Writing (300 | 9.68)

Furthermore, the posts have gotten less and less even over the past few days.

If you as posters want to keep the board, we need to change something. We need to post more, of course, but maybe we can also all help make this place more alive.
Any ideas, suggestions, help is welcome!
If we don't meet the minimum again next month, Fan Fiction / Writing will be closed.

ooh, that sucks! :(
now we can't let that happen, can we? :eek:

maybe some re-organizing? some people who each are responsible for a certain fiction section? (a movie, a book, a person,...) they can search for fiction of their 'subject'? & promote it?

I just saw a post on LJ about you guys and low post counts.

Didn't know there was a writing board here. So I'm checking you guys out.

If I think of suggestions after looking around I'll let you know :)

Well I found the NaNo thread, which is what I mainly was going to suggest. I was also going to say do we have threads for other writing challenges, which might be hard since we can't link to other message boards as most of the other challenges are on forums.

I saw a three prompt thread, but do we have something the NaNo board's Dare's threads? There we could leave dares and take dares and then maybe share how we could incorporate it into a story or make a fic (say a completely AU fic of a show) based on the dare?

Why not campaign to be part of the Fan Art Board?
Fan Creations as a whole...
I always feel as though the writers here get the short end of the stick.

If they can combine the Computer/Newbie forums into the Intro board, why not combine Fan Art and Writing.

Been absent because I've stopped writing fanfiction. The last one I wrote was for a fandom that doesn't really have a presence here on the Fan Fiction board.

Same here. I just come for the Original Fiction thread and Fairy Tales thread. I've retired from fanfiction at least four years ago to focus on my own works.

It seems rather slow here lately though which I think is really bizzare because at the time this board resurrected, it was in a high lead during the Special Polls round (can't really remember for sure unless if Johnnie keeps a copy of the polls because Fan Fiction never had a campaign thread).

Hopefully this board pulls through. I'm slightly 50-50 on merging it with Fan Art because you guys brought up good points but at the same time, just have this mental image of Fan Fiction threads getting easily lost in the shuffle with Fan Art threads. Although this is why board guides were made. ;)

Well there could be like "One Tree Hill" Art and Writing threads or something.
