When Vanessa comes back im expecting the 2 to make a very serious conversation about their relationship. Especially after the DS picture that Nate sent to her.
IMO Dan will confess that he still has feelings for S to V coz he would want to be honest with her. Afterall V has always been Dan's best friend no matter what happened between them. And after that, i can actually see DV going back to being friends and V helping Dan out with the baby issue.

I love DV as friends. They are adorable. But IMHO they were boring and unrealistic as a romantic pair.

Other than becoming pretty damn impatient durning S3. The season itself pretty much told all the story from episode 301. :) Which is why Dan's realization in the finale made complete and utter sense it was the conclusion to the story set in place in ep 301.

SS: Katie Cassidy is someone that we’re really excited about. We had this idea for a character that was going to come on and go head-to-head with Serena and Blair and cause a lot of problems and have a romantic relationship with Nate, but we were very concerned about casting because [we didn't know] who we could add to the mix that [would] feel like she’s on the same level as those actors. And Katie just seemed like she’d be able to nail it and she’s doing a great job.

Will her character be playing nice with others?
JS: Friendly with some, less friendly with others.

How about Eric? With Jenny absent for the first part of the season, will we be seeing him at all?
JS: I think Eric has developed into a strong character. He was such a key part of the Jenny storyline last year and I think you’ll continue to see him be fleshed out, especially when Jenny returns. That’s when you’ll really see Eric start to come back to the floor.

I also don't think she's really conflicted but if you go by the finale she was left in a place where it seems like she still cared deeply for N but just wanted some alone time. The fact that Dan is an issue for this girl again especially with B telling her she has to make a choice and she doesn't even know that Dan wants her back (we know this but she doesn't) tells me that S is burning B's ears off about our guy. :)
